Return to "Off The Beaten Path Street Art"

"The Women Who Will" by Maggie O'Neill

The city’s public art isn’t just along U Street and H Street. It’s not just in NoMa and Columbia Heights. It’s in every ward, every neighborhood. Maggie O’Neill’s “The Women Who Will” is in downtown Washington, D.C. at 1919 Pennsylvania Avenue NW. Inspired by the 1932 photograph “Lunch atop a Skyscraper,” it’s a piece in honor of the many women in this city changing the world. Women who are smart, confident, strong, and leading all of us.
